Axiom Space, a private space company in the United States, has signed a $125 million contract with Gravitics, a Seattle-based company, to purchase space station modules.

This contract is the largest ever signed by Gravitics, and they will be developing pressurized modules to be attached to Axiom's private space station.

Previously, in July 2021, Axiom Space also signed a contract with the Italian space company Thales Alenia Space to develop two space station modules.

Although the specific specifications of the modules to be developed by Gravitics have not yet been disclosed, local reports indicate that Gravitics has the capability to produce space station modules of various sizes, ranging from 3 meters to 8 meters in diameter.

Gravitics plans to conduct space environment tests for some components to be used in the modules on the International Space Station (ISS) later this year.

Additionally, they plan to conduct space environment tests using smaller prototypes than the actual modules by 2026.
