The Israeli media reported on the 8th (local time) that the United States and Arab countries have begun secret talks aimed at a full ceasefire with Iran and the Middle East region.

According to the report, citing Israel's Channel 12, Israel is not participating in the talks, and senior Israeli officials have only been informed about them.

These negotiations are taking place amid heightened military tensions in the Middle East as the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies.

Israel is considering a strike on Iran’s oil facilities in response to Iranian ballistic missile attacks, and military clashes are also occurring with Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon.

A senior Israeli official stated, "We are currently in a favorable position," and mentioned that Israel will demand Hezbollah’s withdrawal and the dismantling of military bases in southern Lebanon as a condition for the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Iran is strengthening its support for armed groups in the Middle East, including Hezbollah.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels and Iraq’s Islamic Resistance (IRI) have also launched attacks against Israel, forming multiple fronts of conflict with Israel.

The United States and the United Nations have urged Israel to agree to a ceasefire, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed these calls, advocating for an expansion of military operations.

The ceasefire negotiations with Hamas in Gaza have also stalled, and a recently proposed three-week truce between Israel and Hezbollah is drifting without progress.

At the same time, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has embarked on a tour of the Middle East, increasing international pressure on Israel and pushing for a ceasefire.

Before his departure, Araghchi said, "The purpose of this trip is to discuss the Middle East situation and to prevent Israel's crimes."

Inside Israel, there are growing speculations of tensions with the United States.

With a conversation between Prime Minister Netanyahu and U.S. President Joe Biden scheduled, there are concerns of discord between the two sides over Israel’s military response to Iran.

Netanyahu favors a strong response, while President Biden is expected to call for restraint to avoid an all-out war.
