In the second quarter of this year, the three major internet-only banks ranked highest in the financial app satisfaction survey.

According to the financial sector on the 21st, a recent survey by the research specialist Consumer Insight on '2024 Q2 Financial App Satisfaction' revealed that Toss (76.8 points) and KakaoBank (76.1 points) took the first and second places respectively. Toss dropped 1.4 points compared to the previous quarter, narrowing the gap with KakaoBank from 2.0 points to 0.7 points.

K Bank (75.3 points) climbed nine places from the previous quarter to reach third place. Having been outside the top 20 until the third quarter of last year, K Bank has risen for three consecutive quarters.

Naver Pay maintained its fourth place with 74.4 points, ahead of Bank Salad (74.3 points), which dropped two places to fifth.

Among traditional financial institution apps, NH Nonghyup's NH Kook Bank scored the highest with 73.8 points. It was followed by Hana Bank's Hana WonQ (73.6 points), Shinhan Bank's Shinhan Sol Bank (73.4 points), and Nonghyup Bank's All One Bank (73.4 points), all making it into the top 10.

A comparative analysis of the three internet-only bank apps versus traditional bank apps revealed strengths in usage speed and the application of the latest technologies.

The internet-only bank apps scored 4.5 points in usage speed, 4.2 points in utilizing the latest technology, and 3.6 points in differentiation and innovation, showing an advantage over traditional banks.

However, they lagged behind traditional banks in information management reliability, customer service, and security/authentication.

A Consumer Insight representative stated, "The strong points of the three internet-only bank apps compared to traditional bank apps are their usage speed and the application of the latest technologies to implement new functions and services. However, their relative weaknesses lie in the reliability of personal information management and the accessibility of consultation channels when needed."
