China’s space laser communication solution provider, Laser Starcom, announced on October 14th that it had successfully raised a “hundreds of millions of yuan” Series A+ investment.
Several prominent investment institutions, including Fulong Capital, Yangtze River Capital, and Yarong Capital, participated in this investment round, highlighting the company’s growth potential.
Laser Starcom plans to use the funds secured for product research and development, production capacity expansion, equipment procurement, and operating expenses.
Through this, the company aims to further enhance its technological capabilities in the space communication field and increase its competitiveness in the global market.
According to the statement, Laser Starcom is already successfully operating several technical verification satellites in low Earth orbit and has completed more than 200 hours of laser communication experiments over distances ranging from 350 km to up to 5,500 km.
These achievements demonstrate the company’s solid foothold in the space communication market.
Currently, Laser Starcom has production plants in both Beijing and Shanghai, with an annual production capacity of up to 500 sets of equipment.
