Former Vice President of Hyosung, Cho Hyun-moon, Declares to Donate Entire Inherited Wealth to Society

 

 

 

Former Vice President of Hyosung, Cho Hyun-moon, announced that he would donate all of his inherited wealth from his late father to society.

At a press conference held on the 5th at SparkPlus COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, he stated, "I will not keep a single penny of the inheritance my late father left me, but instead, I will establish a public foundation and donate it."

Cho stated, "By donating the entire inheritance without greed, I aim to create a precedent of contributing to the country and society. I believe that other co-heirs will also cooperate."

Additionally, he expressed his desire to completely distance himself from Hyosung, asking his brothers and Hyosung for cooperation regarding the separation of affiliates and the arrangement of shares.

He added, "As Chairman Cho Hyun-joon and Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-sang are already proceeding with the separation of affiliates, I believe that the three brothers independently managing without being tied as special affiliates of the Hyosung Group is also my late father's last wish."

Cho also expressed his intention to resolve and reconcile the conflicts among his brothers.

He said, "I want to end the conflicts among my brothers and achieve reconciliation. I intend to forgive and not take issue with the various unfair things that have happened to me."
