China has successfully completed its 30th orbital launch of the year.
On the 29th of last month, the Long March 7A rocket was launched from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan, carrying the geostationary communications and broadcasting satellite ChinaSat-3A (Zhongxing-3A).
This mission was overseen by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), which announced the successful execution of the mission post-launch.
The ChinaSat-3A satellite was designed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), while the rocket was provided by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT). Both institutions are subsidiaries of CASC.
China aims to conduct a total of 100 launches in 2024, including 30 civilian rocket launches.
This launch is regarded as a significant milestone towards achieving that goal.
CASC continues to plan various launches related to space development.
China's space development is attracting global attention for its speed and scale, and this success is seen as a step towards further solidifying China's position as a space power.
