
Mexico and Brazil have agreed to strengthen their space cooperation, marking a new milestone in their bilateral relations.
This agreement includes the development of various initiatives under the framework of NASA's Artemis Accords.
Both Mexico and Brazil are signatories to the Artemis Accords.
Recently, delegations from the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Mexico to hold the '8th Mexico-Brazil Technical Cooperation Working Group Meeting' with the Mexican Space Agency (AEM).
During this meeting, the two countries pledged close cooperation in the space sector.
Salvador Landeros Ayala, Secretary General of the Mexican Space Agency, stated, "This meeting marks the beginning of a great leap for Latin America," and added, "The two countries will join forces in space-related projects, share experiences, and seek common goals."
Marcia Alvarenga dos Santos, Director of International Cooperation at the Brazilian Space Agency, said, "The cooperation between our two countries will create great synergies in various fields such as human resources development, Earth observation applications, space weather research, and industrial collaboration."
