SpaceX has submitted an application to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requesting approval to increase the number of Starship orbital launches to a maximum of 25 per year, according to local media reports.
SpaceX plans to carry out this launch schedule from its dedicated Starship launch site in Boca Chica, Texas.
Currently, the FAA limits the number of Starship orbital launches to five per year.
Additionally, the FAA permits SpaceX to conduct up to 10 Starship landings and up to five Super Heavy booster landings annually.
In the recent application, SpaceX has also requested to increase the maximum number of annual landings for Starship and Super Heavy boosters to 25.
The FAA is expected to hold a public hearing soon to discuss SpaceX's request.
